One of the beautiful things about blogging is that you meet awesome people who are interested in similar topics as you are. Because of my recent interest in sewing I got to know Tierney and her quilts stories. Tierney nominated me to the Liebster award – and here I am, answering her call!

Answer the questions

What made you start a blog and do you have any favorite topics for your blog posts?

I started the book-related blog almost 4 years ago because I had a lot of free time (after graduation, before starting to work) and I wanted to share my passion for reading. Favourite topics: book reviews and bookish discussions!

One year ago I started another blog – Cycling Out and About – where I share my road cycling adventures – here the blogging idea was sparked by my desire to document the journey of discovering a new sport. Favourite topics: cycling trips!

Discovering my country by bike

What is your favorite quality about yourself?

I am an action oriented person – more doing than talking.

If you could move to a different town, state or country… where would you be?

New Zealand or Australia – beautiful countries with inspiring vibes and amazing natural environments!

Tongariro Alpine Crossing – New Zealand. The most impressive hike of my holiday.

Other than blogging/writing what is the one favorite thing you LOVE to do?

Reading and road cycling.

What are your favorite creation(s) to date during the pandemic’s stay-at-home times (if you are expressing yourself creatively during this time)?

I did create some fabric book covers and I discovered succulent plants. And started to grow an avocado plant 🙂

Where was one of the first places you went to after quarantine was over?

I went on a looong cycling ride in the nature – it was such a lovely moment when I realized how much I missed the sun, the wind, the road, the flowers.

If a movie was made about your life, what actor would you like to cast in the leading role (as you)?

I would choose Emma Watson – Hermione was my fictional role model when I was young #harrypotternerd

  1. Thank you for tagging me to do this!

That photo from New Zealand is amazing! My housemate is a Kiwi and it baffles me that she left such a beautiful country to come to dreary old London.

    1. On one hand, it’s hard to understand exchanging NZ’s scenery for London, I agree 🙂 But on the other hand, I could think of situations when being closer to more densely populated cities (eg Europe) has its advantages.

Looking forward to reading your award post!

  2. As a Kiwi myself, people here in NZ who have access to beautiful nature all of the time tend to take it for granted, and also have a yearning for what cultural capitals have to offer. also HISTORY and CULTURE, large caps intentional. This is something that lacks here in Australia and NZ other than what is indigenous or imported from elsewhere, so we want to ‘be at the centre of it all’ in Europe. I am speaking for myself and not anyone else here though hehe. I haven’t even walked Tongariro yet…how bad is that! I need to get out there.

      1. My bf and I used to live in Scotland that’s where we met then we moved to NZ, long story…we now miss our friends in Edinburgh, and the Christmas markets, The Festival, the great pubs there. The grass is always greener 😊

  3. You are very interesting! I would love to visit Peru too – it is such an interesting country and I love mango too, but especially making cocktails with this fruit, a mango margarita is my favourite. I will have to check out “Deep” by James Nestor – recently, I have been so into oceans but especially their history and even read a book titled “Cambrian Ocean World: Ancient Sea Life of North America” – it was very academic, but it is just unbelievable what kind of sea creatures roamed the oceans in ancient times.

    1. Thank you for your kind words! 🙂
Regarding the “Cambrian Ocean World” – it is the first time I hear about it, sounds very interesting! “Deep” focuses more on the present-day oceans, so a journey back to the Cambrian Era would be certainly mind-blowing! Thanks for mentioning it!
