Hello and welcome to my first WWW Wednesday! Since in the past couple of weeks I did not have the time and energy to post regularly, I wanted at least to quickly share with you what I’m reading 🙂

For those who are not familiar with WWW Wednesday, it is a post hosted by Sam@Taking on a World of Words, consisting of 3 questions about the past, current and future reads.

1| What are you currently reading?

where the crawdads sing readers high tea

At the moment I am reading “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens. I received the book from D., a very dear friend of mine and an avid reader herself. Even though I read only 50 pages (out of 360), it already got me hooked up. The story is intriguing, and the narrative style of the writer seems to be very compatible with my bookish taste.

2| What did you recently finish reading?

casual vacancy jk rowling readers high tea

One week ago I finished reading “A Casual Vacancy” by J.K. Rowling. Being part of the generation who grew up with stories from Hogwarts, I was very curious about other books by J.K. Rowling. Now, after reading “A Casual Vacancy”, I have mixed feelings about it – even though it had an interesting motif and a twisted plot, it did not fully convince me. Hopefully I will detail more in the review.

3| What do you think you’ll read next?

I did not pick up a certain book as next read, however I am sure I will read one of the books I have at home. It might be a biography, or a book by Murakami. I also have quite high on the reading list 2 books about classical music and opera written by a Romanian conductor.

‘Till next time … happy reading!
